The Wrong Movie
From time to time the Dada Drummer is forced to correct her fellow Americans when they incorrectly call a movie "good." I know this has come up here at the Memoirs before. Oscar season seems to intensify such episodes. So, once again, here is a partial list of stupid movies you may have made the mistake of liking.
I call the list, simply, "No. You're wrong. That's NOT a good movie."
STEP MOM
PEARL HARBOR
KING KONG (w/Jack Black)
THE PRINCESS AND THE FROG
FORREST GUMP
LITTLE WOMEN (w/Winona Ryder)
SCENT OF A WOMAN
AS GOOD AS IT GETS
THE PATRIOT
BRAVE HEART
HOOK
TITANIC
I provide this as a public service. You don't have to thank me. I'm just glad to help.

My eyes! My eyes! (Did you have to lead with that poster?)
Still, please accept my humble gratitude for your act of selfless service.
Nothing screams great entertainment like "hoo-aahh" two thousand times over!!!12!!
I nominate Crash for your list. Yes, I'm still bitter...
Waaa... you have Forrest Gump on the list! And here I thought Magnus Patris was the only Forrest Gump hater out there.
Hell yah it's on the list. I resent both the emotional manipulation and the suggestion that stupidity and dumb luck is the key to a good American life. That's the mindset that got us 8 years of George W. Bush!
Wait. If Scottish accents and kilts don't make a movie "good" then I'll stick with the bad.
